Flight Club Academy
Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These Terms of Use (Terms) govern your access to and use of Flight Club Academy (the Service), operated by flight-club (Flight Club, we, us). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
- You can register with an email and password or by signing in with Google. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly via our contact page if you suspect unauthorised use.
- Accounts are personal to you and must not be shared or resold.
3. Membership, billing and payments
- The Service offers a free tier and a paid Academy membership. Current membership prices are displayed on the Service and at checkout in Australian dollars (AUD). Where GST applies, prices displayed to Australian consumers are inclusive of GST unless clearly stated otherwise.
- Payments and subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
- Academy memberships automatically renew for successive billing periods until cancelled. Memberships are currently billed monthly and renew each month. The applicable membership fee will be charged to your nominated payment method at each renewal.
- You can cancel at any time — see section 4 (Cancellations and refunds).
- We may change pricing or membership features. We will give reasonable notice of changes affecting your recurring price before they take effect.
4. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel your paid membership at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation prevents further renewals, and your paid access remains available until the end of your current billing period.
We do not generally provide refunds for change of mind or for unused portions of a membership period. However, refunds, cancellations or other remedies will be provided where required by the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
5. Educational use and aviation safety disclaimer
Flight Club Academy is an educational service and study aid. It is provided to help you learn and practise aviation concepts.
- Unless expressly stated otherwise, Flight Club Academy is not an approved training organisation under the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) or any other aviation authority, and use or completion of any trainer, lesson, quiz, exam, simulation or other content does not constitute approved training, competency assessment, certification, qualification, licence, rating or endorsement.
- Scores, results, progress indicators and feedback provided by the Service are for educational purposes only and must not be relied upon as evidence of competency or fitness to conduct aviation activities.
- Aviation information changes over time. Although we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate content, you must verify information against current authoritative sources — for example CASA, FAA or EASA publications, the AIP, NOTAMs, aircraft flight manuals, and your instructor or operator — before relying on it.
- Rules, procedures and phraseology differ between countries. Some content follows the rules of a particular jurisdiction (where it does, the trainer is marked) and may not apply where you fly. Always check the requirements of the authority you operate under.
- The content is not a substitute for official publications, current regulations, aeronautical information, aircraft operating documentation, approved training, or the guidance and judgement of a qualified flight instructor or other aviation professional.
- Trainers and simulations simplify real-world conditions in order to teach a concept, and must not be used for actual flight operations.
- You are solely responsible for your own compliance with applicable regulations and for all operational decisions. Do not use the Service for live operational or in-flight decision-making.
6. Errors and feedback
We welcome reports of suspected errors or outdated aviation information. If you identify content you believe is incorrect, please tell us via our contact page. We may correct or update content at any time.
7. No government affiliation
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Flight Club Academy is an independent educational service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), Airservices Australia, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), or any other government or regulatory authority. References to such bodies and their publications are for educational purposes only.
8. Learning records and progress
The Service may record information such as trainer activity, scores, progress and completion history. These records are provided for your personal learning and convenience. They are not official aviation training records and should not be relied upon as evidence of competency, qualification, or completion of approved aviation training.
You are responsible for retaining any information you wish to keep. We do not guarantee that learning records or progress data will be retained indefinitely.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or in breach of these Terms;
- copy, scrape, download, republish, or redistribute the trainers or other content except as expressly allowed;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or protected content, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- share, resell, or provide access to your account or paid content to others;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its systems, or other users’ accounts.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including the trainers, lessons, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Flight Club or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own training while your account is in good standing. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
11. Third-party content and links
The Service may embed or link to third-party content and tools (for example YouTube videos and external trainers). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, and your use of it may be subject to the third party’s own terms.
12. Privacy
Our collection, use and handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of the information governing your use of the Service.
13. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, modify, add or remove content, trainers and features as the Service develops. We will not make changes to a paid membership that materially reduce the overall Service you have purchased without reasonable notice. Where a material change adversely affects a paid membership, any rights available to you under the Australian Consumer Law continue to apply.
14. Content accuracy and consumer guarantees
We take reasonable steps to provide useful and accurate educational content. However, aviation information, regulations, procedures and publications may change, and errors or omissions may occur. We do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, current or suitable for a particular user’s training needs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.
15. Limitation of liability
Flight Club Academy provides educational information, interactive trainers and learning resources for general aviation knowledge and skills development. The content is intended for educational and practice purposes only and must not be relied upon as the sole source of information for flight planning, navigation, aircraft operation or other operational aviation decisions.
You are responsible for verifying information against current official aviation publications, applicable regulations, aircraft documentation and operational procedures before making any real-world aviation decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flight Club excludes liability for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the use of the Service, including the use of educational content for operational aviation purposes.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights, remedies or consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe you have materially breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity, compromised the security of the Service, or misused or redistributed protected content. Where reasonable in the circumstances, we will give you an opportunity to remedy a breach before terminating your account. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations under a paid membership, we will take reasonable steps to notify you before the change takes effect. Where appropriate, material changes affecting a paid membership will apply from your next renewal.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
